Quick Start

Set it up once; Verifier posts the welcome message and handles every new member from there.

Pick the welcome channel, a verification method and the roles to give, then write the welcome message.

Verifier posts it in the welcome channel with a verify button. New members click it to start.

Change any setting with /verification settings or on the Verification page in the dashboard.

Commands

All /verification commands and member menu entries need the Manage Server permission. create, verify and the Verify member entry also need Manage Roles, and the roles must be below your highest role.

Settings

Change them with /verification settings or on the Verification page in the dashboard. Changing the roles also needs the Manage Roles permission.

Lockout	After a number of failed rounds (1-10) the member has to wait. Static waits the same time every lockout, 1 minute to 6 hours. How It Works

When a member clicks the verify button, Verifier starts a challenge with the method you chose. Once they pass, it removes the unverified role and gives the verified roles. Members who join while Discord's membership screening is pending get the unverified role once they pass screening.

Each challenge allows 5 wrong answers and expires after 5 minutes. Using all 5 or letting it expire is a failed round. Web Captcha is the exception: hCaptcha handles wrong answers itself and shows a new puzzle, so only letting it expire is a failed round. A member gets up to 3 challenges per session, captcha refreshes included. Failed rounds reset when the member passes or after 24 hours without one. Captcha answers ignore case; the passphrase must match exactly, though spaces at the start and end are ignored.

The Chart tab shows the success rate (members who completed out of those who started), what happened after members started, and daily events compared with the previous period. Clicking Verify again during a session counts as one start. Auto and manual verifications are not in the success rate. You can look back 30, 60 or 90 days depending on your plan.

Members who fail too many rounds are locked out for a while. /verification unlock lifts a lockout early, and /verification verify lets a member in without a challenge.

If the alt identifier is holding a member, they can't start verification until their account is old enough.

Roles Must Sit Below Verifier

Verifier can only give and remove roles below its own highest role, and you can only pick roles below yours. If a role is missing from the selectors, see Role Hierarchy.

Click to Pass Has No Security Check

Any account, including a bot, verifies with one click. Use it only when you need the role gate and nothing else.

Premium

Silver: auto verification on rejoin, the Chart tab with the success rate, the button color and image of the verification message, and hiding Verifier links after verification. Gold: escalating lockouts. Diamond: freezing verification. If Premium ends, the verification message goes back to a green button with no image and Verifier links show again after verification. Your settings stay saved and come back when you renew.

Troubleshooting

A role doesn't show up in the selectors

It's above Verifier's highest role or above yours. Move the Verifier role higher in Server Settings › Roles. Bot, booster and integration roles can't be used.

The welcome message wasn't posted

Verifier needs View Channel, Send Messages and Read Message History in the welcome channel. Check the channel's permissions for the Verifier role.

A member can't start verification

Verification may be frozen, the member may be locked out after failed rounds, or the alt identifier may be holding them. /verification unlock clears a lockout and /verification verify lets them in. They also can't start if they don't have the unverified role (members who were in the server before setup), already have every verified role, used all 3 challenges in their session (wait 5 minutes), or clicked an old welcome message.

The welcome message was deleted

Resend it with /verification settings › Resend Message, or Send New Message on the Verification page.
